The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Image
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly I have been planning for weeks to be blogging about "Food Prep." I am a failure at it, and of even blogging about it. The accountability is so necessary. Now I have a blog of a whole different color. We stay in the TRUTH.  I am not sure how to write this blog as I love to accentuate the positive. I truly believe we have so much say in what we think, how we feel and the choices that we make. I spent many years festering and fostering illnesses with my thinking, choices and bad behaviors. I also created hardship, heartache, fear and sometimes even terror in those who surrounded me. I have since spent many years now, making living amends through healthy living, thinking and growing to those I love and to so many who have gone before me. But, please, let me be very clear: WE DO NOT CREATE THE OUTCOME I have been blessed that healthier living has literally extended my years. I have had 4 wonderfully hard, well lived, we...

It's not always as it seems.- Making the Best of Today

Image
Happy Birthday to me! We have spent a weekend celebrating, laughing, singing and dancing. 58, feeling great! Smiles, laughter, celebrations.  It's not always as it seems.  We have been creating new memories of a day that is so very hard for me. It wasn't always so hard, but the past four years are nearly overwhelmingly painful. I couldn't focus on the pain. I have been too ill to let it have any say in my process. My physical health took priority as we were desperate to keep me alive. Now, with a wonderful therapist, incredible healing both physical and emotional, and a powerful support group, I am honest with the pain. 4 years ago was the last time I saw my father alive. It was on my birthday. It was a terrible experience as he was very ill and living in horrific conditions. It was also the last time I saw my brother and my eldest daughter. Both my father and brother have since died. My daughter chooses to not speak, hear from or have any contact wit...

OOOPS I waited to long.

Image
I I was headed to get something to eat and my tire blew. It not only blew but the steel radials blew my rear axle and side of my Jeep. Yes, I am ok. Shook up...the woulda coulda and shouldas. I knew I needed tires. I was getting a whole new set next week. Should I have put the spare on? Is it a dummy tire? Why didn't I check? I could have hurt someone. It's a story of life. We know there is a little damage, over in the corner, but we want to wait until we are better prepared to handle it, or can afford it, or until circumstances fit our comfort zone. We don't even try to see if there is a simple solution to get us by. Then the damage it can create is much bigger than looking for the solution. So much wreckage to clean, if we can. Some damage is irreparable. Walk through the moment, the best we can. I don't really like the word procrastination. I think the act includes so much more than a noun. I do like this definition though:  Procrastination  in ...

Toxicity and Toxic People-It's All About your Health.

Image
Bam! The real topic shows up. Toxic people. How do they affect us? Who are they? How does it affect our health? You have seen the memes, the countless social media posts: Toxic People Must Go! -Narcissism- Read here and Eliminate all toxic people from your life! Get rid of them for life! Let's flip the switch. What if YOU are the toxic person? Have your words ever hurt anyone? How is your toxicity level? What is your gauge? Have you internalized all negativity around you? Even the memes of hatred towards others? Have you become judgmental? Controlling your environment to try to just survive? Have you shoved all your pain, shame, anger, resentments so far down that "fake it till you make it" becomes a lifestyle? Self medication become the self healer? (Food, running, shopping, drugs, alcohol, sex etc.) Critical, blaming, shaming IT'S THEM they MADE me feel this way. That sure sounds like an awful lot of questions. I think we have nailed the problem right...

Oils, Living Space and Serenity in Healing

Image
What? You thought my " life saving" regime existed of only diet and workout? Haha!  I GET to work out and eat because of the rest of the regime. Today on my  blog, we will be discussing the health benefits of living space, sounds, scents, essential oils for healing (no sales allowed please.) I would like to discuss different oil combinations, in our Facebook page "Dedication to Inspiration." Share your forms of meditation, serenity, centeredness and faith (we all have our own. I am a Christ follower.) When one spoke of the wheel breaks or is bent, it affects the others, they follow suit and before you know it, it becomes almost useless. Maintain each spoke for complete asskickery! Today's Blog In the quest to save my life, I have found that my living space is just as important as working out. It is just as vital as running in nature, meditation and eating healthy. Not everyone would like to live the way I do. I am a bit "hippy" i...

Herbs, oils and Blood Results oh my!

Image
Herbs, Oils and Blood Results Oh My!! Well, hopefully you follow my blog and know what this post is all about! If not, then I ask you to please peruse the past blogs. I shall recap some: I had been bedridden for many years. I was suffering from obese anorexia, giving myself many ailments. One of the greatest would be cirrhosis of the liver, but the list was very long: Diabetes (Levels to 500! now at 70's for four years straight.) Kidney disease Cirrhosis of the liver (Not alcohol, sexual, drug, no hep related! All non eating. Now in final stages.) Portal hypertension (Was digressing 10 points monthly to a deathly low, turned about with herbs.) Morbid obesity Fibromyalgia (No signs for 4 years.) IBS (No signs for 4 years) High Blood Pressure (No signs for 4 years) I was bedridden and chair bound. That in itself is it's own story, saved for another day. I took over 20 pills daily, which only gave me grave physical consequences on top of all that...

Genderfunkification

Image
I was going to blog about my herb and vitamins regime. Yes, I took my gym hours and applied them to writing hours. Then I got sucked into an abyss of debated communication of social media. Yes, that is what I started to do with my much coveted time. Well, of course that has inspired me to write this blog, and yes, I will get to the much anticipated post about my herbs. Genderfunktification.  When I debated this, I used a curse-word in the middle of my newly coined word. I am ear deep in the past. Death dates. birth-dates, genealogy, memories, pained, joyful....what a plethora of stuff. I knew I would have to go through this to do what was necessary to finish my book. As I am extremely emotional right now, I feel the need to stay away from the Woman's March topics of today. Trust me when I say I have so much to say about the subject. If you know me, then you know I have much to say about MOST subjects. I have been a victim. I have been raped, gang raped, ridicul...
